Thankfully I have a spare cross shaft and bushings. The other cross shaft is in much better shape and has "identical" welds. I don't see any cracks and welds. Arms don't show wear like ones in pics.

Didn't realize they were only good for one or two clutch jobs.

I almost left the shaft etc. alone, but could feel play at outer bushing, and could see "ring" of clutch slave bracket wearing where clutch operating arm was rubbing.

The cross shaft metal is soft, but looks identical to one I bought new not long ago. I trust the vendor and he swore that it was the better quality aftermarket part. I didn't ask where it came from.

Were the Brazilian cross shafts yellow in colour?
