Same day I take shots at Jake during the speaker discussion, I was driving van back from trying to fix friend's coolant temp gauge problem when my front left midrange started to cut in and out then buzz to the music (E. Costello).

I'm hoping its a bad connection and loose mounting.

It does bring up another point about speaker placement in doors, low in the panel (this set up) is a bit more vulnerable to stray kicks when you're getting and out of van. Notice how many vans have "skid marks" down there?
