I've been procrastinating for months on installing a fuse block in my Westy. I have all the parts. Just need to get to it.

I got the fuse block from B&C Specialty Products, who sell various hard-to-find parts to the aircraft home-builders. They have spade fuse blocks from six to 20 positions:

And I have one of their ground blocks, too. No more "bad ground" problems!

Finally, I bought an aircraft volt/ammeter and a shunt for each battery, so I can see the charge/load current more precisely:

To protect the wires from the shunts to the ammeter, I'll use B&C's low-current fusible links, a handy alternative to the four (!) fuses that would otherwise be required:
