Hi all.

Air cooled transmission is now out so I measured things. Seems the worn groove on WBX input shaft will be near or at the middle of the pilot bearing.

The groove is .4 mm deep and obviously smooth

Pilot bearing is 15 mm sealed type. (FWIW, that grease "star" was likely due to my own ignorance. Likely added Moly to bearing. D-oh! Wrong!) Pic:

Will the groove harm the pilot bearing needles? If so, will an air cooled input shaft fit a WBX transmission?

Much thanks and I promise to pay it all back with pics and text of transmission upgrade.

Neil.
