I'm always suspicious of the fuel tank when that happens. I suggested the other day to run it off a can of gas instead of the main fuel tank, as a test. seems to me the diagnostic phase didn't get completed fully before getting the new parts. But you have a spare fuel pump now ! and I am SO glad VW build all these vans so we could have so much fun with them.
