I use a hi lift jack (aka "jack-all") with an adapter to fit vanagon jack points. I welded part of stock jack to some box section tubing and bolt that to jack all "tongue". It works well, I stow under back seat, but if you want to be manly and show it off, there are lots of options in the off road world, attachment points to rear tire carrier, bull bar, bumper , roof rack etc. pic of my jack here: http://shufti.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/ball- joint-shenanigans/img_1125/

Thinking of the kind that you see on the jeeps that are off-road tricked. I can clamp it on my luggage rack. Anyone have a good lead on one that may be available locally(US) without having to ship. Will be checking a few off-road shops around here ut would like to save a shoe-leather. Thought the Syncro folks might have a few tips. Thanks in advance.
