I received one of the "99" programmable intermittent wiper relays from Chris Turner. (Thanks!) I looked up the relay in the Bentley manual, where it's described as "optional." So let me ask: When I drop the fuse panel in my '84 Westy, should I expect the socket for this relay to be empty? Or do I need to remove an existing relay and replace it with this one? I spent a few minutes staring at the wiring diagram, too. I can read schematics, but Bentley uses a very different symbology that I haven't absorbed yet. It depicts the "99" relay using a symbol defined as a "solid-state relay" or something. Does the wiring diagram label each pin of the relay in some way? I'm looking forward to plugging in the new relay. Perhaps you all can fill in some of the details. |
