I did the front doors on Dixie and it really cut the ringing of the panels.
I did the slider and stuck some up on the cover panel and the slider is very
quiet in operation now. The cab roof is next and maybe some day I'll get
around to pulling the interior and doing the driver's side wall...
I also smeared the underside of the front wheel wells and steps with a thick
layer of fibreglass-reinforced roofing cement. This step really cut down on
tire/road noise, especially in the wet, which we have plenty of here.
Of course, this does nothing for the wind noise but at least the transferred
mechanical noise has been eliminated.
It makes the stereo sound a lot better now that its not competing against so
much background noise.
