Getting off the sailboat and back onto terrafirma. Yes. And I had to replace it on Day 2 of a month-long trip in 2008 at an I-90 rest stop west of Missoula. That was with a fresh engine and rebuilt tranny and lots of other $tuff done to the beast. Bought it from a guy that put a Subaru in his 1990. Dang glad I had it as it was the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Even if I get towed to Missoula, we sit a while. But now I don't have a spare and I read David's piece about solder fatigue... makes me wonder if my original has a problem like that. It was an intermittent miss, then it started cutting out real badly. Actually back-tracked to the rest stop b/c was too skeered to go forward any longer.
