Apparently bandits down there also use logs or debris to block the road. Basically anything to get you to stop. The book I'm reading tells a story of a traveling salesman who was robbed by a man with an AK-47 riding on a donkey.. Interesting place, that Mexico. I love to read about it but would never go there.

I hope at the minimum, people in Mexico will realize now ... if they see vehicles parked by the side of the road in any kind of remote area like this .. turn around and head back the other way pronto !
