Congrats on your new powerplant. Having that extra power means a lot at times.

Keep in mind however, that our vans were designed for a period when in the USA speed limits were much lower and best performance in the vans was at 55 mph. The tranny engine combination met that need well and fuel economy was good. Now if you don't drive at 70 on the highway you run the risk of getting run over. But at those speeds the economy of a 55 mph vehicle goes to pieces. Just something to keep in mind. But it is a joy to be able to pass other vehicles by having the power to do so.

I can actually accelerate on the freeway going 65 mph to 85 mph. And hills WOW!!!! I can also accelerate going up hill now and the engine is not even broke in yet. Im very happy with it. I id not want a race car I only wanted to be able to drive like a normal car. > > > Danny C. > Portland, Oregon > '84 Westy (Vanny) > > > > > > > >
