Isn't that sort of thing generally delegated to Guardian Angels?  I'm
certain Vanagons have one -- too many times of something breaking at
the *best* possible time (like smoking the engine harness one mile
after completing a thousand mile trip and seven days before beginning
the next one), or you go to fix something little and something
important is getting ready to cut loose right next to it.


'Course I think I have one too -- can't think of any other reason I'm
still alive.
