Subject: Last minute issues, horn and turn signal...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Leaving this evening for Florida (Wanee Festival), front turn signal wasn't blinking so I pulled lens to check bulb and found a corroded terminal on the socket. When I removed the spade the whole contact disentegrated. I was going to try to pick one up (socket) enroute at Keffer VW outside of Charlotte (Paul in parts is awesome, will sale at employee cost +10% even mail order) he told me the part is obsolete and not available to him. I did rig up a generic GM socket that works after some dremel tool attention.

My horn doesn't work and if you can give me some tips I might troubleshoot it during downtime. If I understand right the horn contact switch connects the horn to ground? I checked the fuse it is good and there doesn't not appear to be any juice at either lead at the horn itself. I have a Bentley but the wiring diagrams do not make a whole lot of sense to me.

Any tips, it did work last year (season) no problem.
