I've had lots of cases of the reverse lights staying on.
sometimes just need another washer under the back-up light switch.
here's what I go on ...
a good transmission is like this -
- syncro's work decently shifting up and down - 'some' monor tendency to
'want to crunch' by itself is acceptible .. I .have that on one
only-two-years old rebuilt...prolong additve helps a lot
- not noisy in any gears. Put your ear against the shifter sometime if you
can ....noises are ampllifed or easy to hear that way.
- no leaks.
- nothing horrible on the magnetic drain plug.
if it does all that, I consider it OK.
still wondering about the altitude of the front of your trans ....in case
that is a factor in the new linkage setup.
Since you went from air-cooled engine originally with DK, to wbxr it should
be about the same now that I think about it more.
