My apologies to you and list. I basically did what you suggested but
with one of those flexible magnets to hold the "upper" nut in place.
(used factory hole @ ~ 2:00 ) Tricky but worked.
I apologize because although I was stumped, if I'd stared at it for
another hour and used my Ouija board to conjure up the Brain Power
Spirits, I would have done my thing w/o posting.
For others, epoxying a nut in before installing stuff likely won't
work. My nut promptly fell off after a couple hits with hammer to mark
lower hole (actually located at ~ 8:00) The magnet was tricky, much
trickier than Scott's suggestion I bet, but it worked. With 2:00 bolt
loose, you can sneak the bushing in between plates, stop cussin, and
install the other bolt.
Yup. OC means on center as far as I know.
So close.... so close.... :^)
