I would use as little adhesive to reattach the carper, as possible.
This way you can remove it and also, and perhaps most importantly, so
when it accidentally gets caught, pulled, yanked, etc., the adhesive
gives, instead of the carpet ripping. My Westy's carpet has been glued
down so well that I'm going to have to introduce heat and perhaps
chemicals to remove it. You have to really think before even the
simplest things, that's why this list is so valuable. Every time you
think you have a great answer that solves your problems, someone else
will derail you with even a better solution. And so it goes.....
