hi Roger, there are 3 kinds of throttle bodies on vanagons, basically. there's the 83 to first half of 85 .....'roughly' ............... with two very obvious throttle positions switches on the top of it. then there is the 'late' 1.9 type ... and the switch is on the bottom, like they are on 2.1's. Maybe only a half year of production on those - just guessing about that , but I consider those desirable, and pretty rare. then 2.1 with switches on the bottom. The throttle plate is larger diameter than the 1.9 one is. They'll kinda fit on either engine though, and you can put all the 2.1 intake parts ( except AFM and air box ) onto a 1.9 if you want. I do. yes, I wonder what Ecu too. there's 1.9, 2.1 and the suffix D 2.1 one. < it's against the rules to say what year things are, what they fit, etc.......where a van is for sale, on the first post - :-) > Scott www.turbovans.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Whittaker" <rogerwhitt1@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 12:24 PM Subject: Re: Misc stuff for sale.
