In our climate I would not want it mounted under the van as it would be exposed to wet weather, mud, etc, plus I do not like cutting holes in the floor. My preference is to mount one along the drivers side(our van is a Westy) in the cabinet between the water tank and fridge. This uses space not normally accessed and allows all penetrations to go through the side not the floor. I thought about one for my 7 passenger Syncro as it was my winter transportation and would have mounted it under the back seat on the drivers side.
