I have a Jetta powered van, converted from diesel. Mine uses a Vanagon fuel set up. It's Digifant, just like the Jetta/Golf/Rabbit 1.8liter gas motor uses. If your motor is from a digifant car, it should be able to use Vanagon parts, but I often cross check to make sure.

I was just now under my van replacing the fuel filter and re-checking the lines. My pump was beginning to make some noise so I did the 'blow back into the gas tank' deal and I added a second inline filter between the tank outlet and the fuel pump (bosch Vanagon pump) inlet. Mine is real quiet again..no pump humm.. The pump on mine is mounted on the right side frame rail under the van. It is actually lower than the tank outlet, but I don't know if that is important. The system is 'pressurized' from the pump on to the engine all the time the engine is running. don hanson
