The usual reason for extra horn-i-ness is another key on the ring that made it into the slot btw wheel and housing.

Pr'aps your baby was being a bit tetchy, didn't like being slapped around? Seriously, I'd open up and play with the wires around the ignition switch a bit, see if you can get it to do it again.
