one minor problem. the timing curve is not determined on a 2.1 wbxr engine in the distributor.

the Timing Curve ..advancing of timing according to load and rpm, is determined by the ecu, and electronically adjusted according to needs.

so timing curve being 'not right' wouldn't usually be due to the distributor itself in a 2.1 . i.e. there's no centrifugal advance, no vacuum advance or retard, etc. I'm sure they can get worn and have excessive shaft side play, though I've never seen that in a 2.1 distributor
