Thanks again for all the help.

If I pull out the hose for the advance side of my distributer then suck on the hose the mechanism inside the current distributer moves. If I suck on the retard hose nothing happens. With the one I was going to test with I sucked on the retard hose and the mechanism moved. When I did it to the advance hose I could hear what sounds to be a broken diaphragm moving about inside. Hmmm. Probably not worth the check.

I am going to have my current distributers vacuum mechanism rebuilt next week.

In other exciting events, I finally got a chance to buy some long enough fuel hose to try Scott's idea to test the noisy fuel pump. A thunderstorm has just arrived though....

A couple pulled up to me at a light today and offered to buy my van. ....must....resist....offer...to....end...pain......

Thanks, Bryan
