if by turd brown you mean the Ausaun Brown that year,
I call that Southewest Terracotta Red.

nice color actually.
I'd say AC in an 83.5 Westy is rather unusual.
The one I had and sold last year didn't have AC.

I have a Westy rear AC rear  upper shelf if anyone needs it.
