I think you will find once you actually have such a heater in your hands that talking about various ways one might wish to do it is very different from being able to pull it off safely and in an aesthetically pleasing way. If you look at the ways some pretty smart people have done it you will get a good sense of what is really practical with the parts and fittings that come with the kits.
