IIRC I used an enormous "Crescent" wrench (2 3/16 opening x 18 long, cost $13 new, good-to-very good quality Chinese) for that last spring. High speed worked, low speed didn't. Took the baddie apart, clever design, good coin-silver contacts, random bit of rubbish got between the low-speed contacts.
