You may wind up paving your path to hell that way... you can pretty quickly wind up with an overwhelming amount of disorganized information. I'd suggest getting a gmail account just for the Vanagon list and subscribing from it, even if you're still going to use your current account for daily reading. That way you'll eventually build up a sort of personal archive as the time goes on. There's an archive file that you can get that has the entire list traffic from the beginning up to about a year-and-half ago. You can read it in Opera and a few other email progs; I loaded it onto a laptop and carry that around on trips and it's been helpful a few times now, particularly since you can access it offline. Much of the older information is just way out of date; I doubt there's anything beyond the last five years that hasn't been covered to greater effect in that time.
