The big plastic part is called a fuel rail; they don't generally give trouble until the metal crimped around one end rusts away, at which point the sealing cap (sort of like the sealing piece that lets you carry a baby bottle around without the nipple) will suddenly jump off and you'll be pouring gas on the ground, not dripping it. If that happens it's possible to derange a hose clamp to do the job. The actual seal is done by an o-ring. Yrs, d |
