dear drippy ( i have/had relatives in regina who are drips ;) {they told us
they were the only drips in the phone book}
anyway
when you repair your fuel lines
do two things
order a few extra "ear" clamps ... it is likely you will wreck one or two in
the process
this is a plumbing job ... measure thrice cut once ...
fit all parts together with clamps on loose and crimp in place /...
use 5/8 heater hose or something with heat resistance built in to cover all
of the hose except from rail to injector
toss the firewall fitting and run fuel line through firewall with heater
hose covering the high pressure hose you are using
surgical clamps make a great hose clamp on fuel lines that will be changed
out
do not ... do not connect hose to fuel tank until all other fittings are
secure
fuel pressure test kit about 40$ at flaps the flapper store for flappier
diy types
the proper pliers for "ear" clamps about 15$ at fecs (friendly ear clamp
store )
have fun
your newly minted feeling like i know something kinda guy
(having done it once )
:)
