there has been a recent thread on samba with reports on how the go westy unit is working in the field.

the splitsec unit "seems" to be a bit more sophisticated in its tuning abilities. I agree that it looks like a good option for us AFM users.

That site explains a lot. I had a racecar with an MAF set-up and I always wondered what my dyno runs were doing... I'd watch the guys 'tweeking' all the pretty-colored columns on the screen, watch the money fly out of my wallet and really only understand the Graph printouts...I had a vague idea they were changing the mapping...whatever that was...

seems like a great way to help out the Vanagon-era engine EFI. I am going to look into that for my inline Digifant motor...I could always use a few more hp....especially HP that comes from more efficient air flow/fuel managment and doesn't come from cubic inches/ cubic dollars.
