We're here in sunny SoCal. So we try to find tree-shaded camping spots, and a mounted panel would be counter-productive. And we have a small (30 Watt) solar panel. So we have it arranged so that we can prop it up anywhere within range of the cable, and in any orientation. More details on the panel at: http://www.oddstray.com/westy/solar Pic of the mount (happens to be resting atop our Westy, although it sits just as well on other surfaces): http://www.oddstray.com/westy/solar/solarpanel.jpg
