I have the Colgan Bra on my 84, but only leave it on there for road trips to avoid rock chips/bugs/etc. The rest of the time it gathers dust in my garage. I do not obsess about it getting wet & left on the van, but it doesn't get left on there for extended periods & no problems. I do make sure it is off if I wash the van, FWIW. The Colgan, at least the one I have, does not fit great around the turn indicator lights or when it is shrunken in cold weather. YMMV, Mr. BZ- hate shrinkage of all kinds
