Samantha, Follow Roger Whittakers advice - give us a whole lot more info. WE have members of this list all over the place - some near, some far - and some may be close enough to you to run out and lend a hand. But we can't help if we don't know what you are driving, where you broke down, and your route and destination. All that said - Vanagons are notorious for having fuel leak problems. And from the sound of it - yours may be suffereing simply from old age, and some seals are leakning, hoses have ruptured - who knows. It will take a simple methodical go-thru to find the problem and correct it. But with these vans - you really do want to replace all fuel related items with new - particularly those fuels lines and tanks seals. There have been scores of vans that have burned completely because this was not taken care of. DO NOT attempt to drive it again until all those fuel lines are change out.Don't believe me? - just ask the volks on this list to provide their links to burned vans - it's a horrible sight! When the tow got to us, he yanked Mean Mr. Mustard up on the bed and MOREEE gas poured out! > > Thankful that we brought our guitars harmonicas and kazoos, made a long wait much easier. > > Any pertinent information to this problem though would be a blessin'.
