Nice call replacing that stuff when you had the ability to do so Dave. I had the wonderful opportunity to have the hose that goes from the passenger side head to the plastic coolant tower thing go on me. We were about four hours from home, an hour north of Toronto, it was Jan 2nd or 3rd, it was night, and if I had to guess I'd say it was -10 deg F. It was very very very not fun! Thankk God for Greg Potts and Adam Naraway - they live close by and came and rescued us. As for coolant itself - I try to use the Zerex G05 stuff but it's hard to find around here. So I sometimes use the Prestone stuff you all mentioned int he other thread. I'd love to go VW BLue - but man I just don't have deep enough pockets. -- Thanks, Jeff '85 GL (Gertie) '90 Carat (Grover - the noble parts donor) '86 (We call this one Scrap) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus |
