Thank you for the offer. The original server was to be taken down, so
one of the listees volunteered to store the data until another server
could be found. As I understand it, his machine got taken down (or
something) and he hadn't backed up the articles though he thought he had
. . . the upshoot of it all is that the articles were lost.

Lost as in "gone." Puff of smoke. In memory only. It's passed on! This
wiki is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its
maker! This is a late wiki! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in
peace! Its archival information is of interest only to historians! It's
hopped the twig! It's shuffled off this mortal coil! It's run down the
curtain and joined the choir invisible! This.... is an EX-WIKI!
