Subject: Fully-charged battery for alternator install?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I read something recently in the archives referencing a fully-charged battery when installing a new alternator. I have a new battery but it has been a bit depleted by a worn-out alternator. A rebuilt one is on the way, and I was curious if current wisdom recommends that I put the battery on a charger before installing the replacement alt? Or would it by OK to let the new alt charge the battery?

Thanks!
