Yes, it does look a little out of whack. But the good news is . . . I just went and bought a new gas cap - same kind as before - and it fits perfectly. I don't know why the other 2 we bought and tried didn't fit but this one does. It looks exactly like the one that was loosing fitting that I lost yesterday. The only difference is where I bought it from (the others were from Napa, this one is from Shucks/O'Rielly).

So, I'll see what happens with the fill up in the next few days once I've ran the gas gauge down to the bare minimum. I'll let you all know what I figure out (or don't figure out, LOL as the case may be).
