Gasoline injectors are electric solenoid operated poppet valves and they aren't disassembleable or rebuildable. They are tested for function & spray pattern and the ones that pass are labeled as rebuilt.

The problem with all injectors is they are mechanical things and the wear point (the pintle) will eventually fail to an uneven spray pattern or drip. Buy a rebuilt (really a used, tested) injector and it is somewhere down its service life with unknown life left.

RE: Rebuilt injectors About four years ago I put in a set of injectors rebuilt by a local shop that specializes in just that. At about 120 miles one went bad. After replacing it with one that had just been pulled out things went fine. When I took the bad injector back to the rebuilder he was flabbergasted but after checking he agreed. He replaced the bad one with a new one off the shelf and then rebuilt the other three for free. And apologized about a dozen times in th process, saying that such occurrences were so rare in his experience as to be almost non existent. But none the less, a freshly 'rebuilt' injector had failed.
