We don't have ours mounted. We're here in sunny SoCal. So we try to find tree-shaded camping spots, and a mounted panel would be counter-productive. And we have a small (30 Watt) solar panel. So we have it arranged so that we can prop it up anywhere within range of the cable, and in any orientation.
