Subject: Dubs in the Valley/Flood City Music Festival
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

So I live in the little town of Johnstown PA where, to be frank, not a whole lot happens. There is one glimmer of fun every year, The Flood City Music Festival, which has for the second year in a row rolled out a great lineup of talented artists. It is held in a reclaimed industrial site, you could take an Amtrak train and step out of the station right into the festival with the world's steepest vehicular plane in the background. Three days of music, Robert Cray Band, Los Lobos, Anders Osborne, Eileen Jewell, Galactic, Devon Allmans' Honeytribe and more... Get this a whole weekend package is currently on sale for $15 but it will go up to *gasp* $20. (can you believe the locals complain about the price?)

Every June the city hosts Thunder in the Valley, which I guess is a big event in its own right, I'd love to see (and hear) Dubs in the Valley. We have several state parks within 20-30 miles, lots of recreation areas, all in a location you may have never ventured into.

Obviously I'm proud that our area is putting together such a great event for such a low cost. If there is interest this could become an informal VW event, there are some county campgrounds and such that perhaps could be reserved. Check out the website, pmail me if you want some details or are interested in travelling this way in August. I promise not to flood the list with this (or at least until late July).

Ryan
