I just sent this to a local list and though it might be of interest to the
wider group --- the festival is Grafton Ontario -- not far from Toronto on
the West side.

$45 bucks for a weekend of great music at a wonderful venue.
Camping is $10 per person for the weekend if you have a weekend music pass.

We've been going to this festival for 6 or 7 years now --- we go to other
ones too, including Mariposa, this is by far our favourite event. The
setting is beautiful -- overlooking Lake Ontario. The people are laidback
and friendly. The volunteers who run the festival do a fabulous job. The
food is great and reasonably priced --- local and earth friendly. Good
selection of interesting and unique artisans peddling their wares

There are 2 camping areas --- one is "Quiet" and one is "Musical" --- in the
music camping area there is a big bonfire pit -- after the music ends on the
mainstage for the evening people (often including the performers) come out
and jam --- not to be missed. I have heard some great music there over the
years (and played a bit myself). There also tends to be lots of spontaneous
acoustic music happeniing continually throughout the camping area.
Last year we had about 20 busses come out and all had a great time. I
encourage you all to come and check out this very special festival at a very
reasonable price. Great music, great people (even if they don't drive
busses) and a very good time.
The festival ends mid afternoon Sunday which I like because we can get home
withough getting stuck in Labour Day traffic and have Monday do the stuff
that seem to be necessary for kids/school etc. Or you can take a page out of
Greg Potts book from last year and catch Sunday afternoon/evening at "Da
Caves".
Last year the busses congregated in the NW corner of the camping area ---
probably will again this year -- hard to miss us.
One other note -- the festival and the camping passes sold out last year
before Labour Day weekend. Frank Condelli (of BusFusion fame) ended up
camping in the overflow parking area because he didn't get his passes in
time. So if you're thinking this sounds like fun best to get passes earlier
than later.
