Not sure how the NAPA part works, but the Time-Sert is installed using a special tool that expands the threads to lock the insert.

Was putting in new spark plugs yesterday, and one of the new spark plugs was too small. Well upon examining further, one of the old plugs has a thread size larger than the others. Apparently a timesert came out with that one. Went to Napa and got a new timesert (actually the Napa brand product), some thread locker material came with it, talked to a couple of car guys who luckily happened to be there. So the plan is to put anti-seize on the new plug threads, screw the new timesert on the plug, put the locking material on the outside threads of the timesert, and then screw this combination into the spark plug hole. (22 ft. lbs according to Bentley). They are AMC heads.

Does this sound about right? Any further suggestions on getting it back together? Any gotchas? Any other things to prep or be careful about?
