>> Hopin' there's a breakthrough on your vanagon soon, and more of them show up around you. <<

Here's where we are at now. The van is running better than it was. I have the vacuum unit off the new used distributor on my old one and 3 rebuilt injectors. I have the timing maybe a degree or two BTDC and that is as far as I can turn the distributer for now. Since I don't HAVE to turn it any more (and some will say don't) there is definitely no reason to let anyone pull the distributer gears and reset them a tooth at this very moment. There is nothing I HAVE to do right now so after I replace the 1 faulty new injector I am going to sit back and see how it runs for awhile.

I really appreciate everyone's help and patients with this.

And the lesson I learned in the last few days is that "rebuilt" fuel injectors are essentially the injectors the last guy sent in as cores because his failed and the "rebuild" shop blasts some carb cleaner through them, cleans them up and puts a new gasket on. Anyway, for the new injector I ordered I ordered a brand new one. I'm not paying to have another bad one put off and put back on again.

As for seeing another Vanagon around here. Hmmmm, lets take a look to see what's available. Here we go: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/1704054360.html . (Caution: if you are from the West Coast do not view these disturbing East Coast images) At least the tires and brown captain's chairs are worth the price of admission.....

Thanks Bryan
