Subject: Driver's door done
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

I spent a successful few hours over the last two weekends tying up chores still to be done to the ground floor of our Westy.  Last weekend I removed the door panel and covered the inside sheet metal with Peel and Seal for sound deadening.  If I want to continue with this I'll need to remove the headliner, the dash and the carpet, so I may let that wait.  The rest of the work was to repair the wiring passing from that door to the van; it had all been cut at the hinge.  Soldered and heat shrank my way to having power mirrors and a functioning LF speaker for the first time in our ownership.  Also replaced the outer scraper for a tighter window seal.  I meant to install a junkyard prize grab handle on that side but now can't find it in the basement.  And then I recharged the R134A and drove it for the first time in a month (shoulder surgery).  Mt. Rogers, here we come.

Stephen
