I've searched the archives before asking this question on a higher wattage headlight bulb on my 90 square headlight Westy with the relay mod already done. I have heard conflicting reports that say either you must upgrade to larger wiring for the 80/100 watt bulbs and others that say that this is not necessary. Either way I will clean the grounds and think that I may put in a larger ground wire. I don't want to melt or overheat stock wires and connectors. On the same subject; after the relay mod I noticed that my stereo (non-stock with a separate amp) then had some feedback when the lights were on. Just an oscillating high pitched hum. Could this be related to the lights and speakers sharing a common ground at some point? I recall reading about this in one of the archive posts. Any insight or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks everyone. ? David Clarkson 90 Westy 282,00 miles |
