Wrap it in a rag and use Vise-grips. The correct answer is to use two nuts of the correct threads, run against each other, and then turn it out. Hi gang! I'm in the midst of swapping a 2.1L engine into my '84 Westy.  I need  to remove the oil filter mount tube from the 1.9L engine to install it on my 2.1L engine.  This item is just a short pipe "nipple" threaded into the  block on one end and the oil filter threads onto the other end. How do I remove this part without damaging it? Jim Davis
