The red-lead primer I've used (healing PA-10) was not porous and could be
left exposed indefinitely. It dried almost-flat. Unfortunately the local
company making it was bought-out (Epiglass) and the paint was cheapened...
to semigloss crap... and then bought-out again and the primer disappeared
entirely.
