I, too was a Nakamichi freak in the 70's owning one of their model
700(couldn't afford the 1000) cassette decks.  Later, found a pair of
Nakamichi SP-400  car speakers at a local dealer's yard sale weekend
for $200 and couldn't get the bucks out quick enough.  Mounted them
in the front door kick panel of my 79 loaf and they were
awesome.  They lasted a long time but eventually the cone rings died
and eventually I sold the van to get my 90GL (RVC).  I still have the
magnets for the Nakamichi sub woofers I bought a little after the SP
400's.  No sense having a magnetic parts tray in the shop when you
can use a piece of audio history to do the same job...........
