I saw someone post to one of the vanagon lists about there not being a fix for a speedo mph that is off. My speedo (out of a 1984 vanagon) was 10 miles an hour faster than I was going. so when I was driving 50mph my speedo would say 60mph, I checked it against my GPS. So I decided to pull my speedo out today and mess with it. First I changed the miles to 2,359 to reflect how many miles are on my new 2.4L Gowesty engine. It was so simple. When I sell my van if I ever do, I will make the miles reflect the chassie miles by adding them together. Now back to the speedo. So after I changed the miles I wanted to calibrate my MPH. I did and it was so simple. If any one has a speedo mph prob shoot me an e-mail and I will tell you how to correct it. It can be done and its easy.........
