do you have the 2.1 plastic thermostat housing where the Temp II sensor is located ?

If so, no hoses need to be removed. The sensor is held in with a clip , and there's an o-ring there.

if you have a metal sycnro 2.1 t-stat housing, the sensor unscrews.

if you are running your 2.1 with an '84 1.9 cooling system, the temp sensor unscrews, from the 1.9 type waterpump/t-stat housing.

never any need to remove a hose. yeah, which of those 3 possible layouts do you have ?

I have an 84' with a 2.1 and power steering and need to get my temp2 sensor out. What is the best way to get at it. Looks like I may have to disconnect a hose to its left (looking from the top down to it) maybe get at it from underneath?
