True. They leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere when they drop a
valve seat and blow a hole in the top of your piston!
All engines have issues...

Allow me to mention - Aircooled Vanagons do not leave you stranded in
the middle of nowhere because a hose ruptured and all the coolant ran
out!!!! If you have a good engine - you have a good van.
